We will most likely hold off until Saturday and hope that things dry out. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞
In the meantime, we have been enjoying lots of nature. We LOVE honey bees and purposely don’t mow the wild flowers in the orchard so the bees can enjoy them. 🐝 There is lots of milkweed so we are a popular spot for monarch butterflies (one was too quick to get a pic of today.) I was lucky enough to get a picture of a cicada instead and find 3 four leaf clovers.🍀 Must be a Mikoski thing @megerley3 😉
I’m also VERY excited that our Pawpaw trees are doing well! What is a pawpaw you might be wondering…. well it’s an indigenous tree that produces tropical tasting fruit that was enjoyed by Native Americans for thousands of years. Never had one? Neither have I! Just a small experiment to see how they grow and taste. In about 3 or 4 years we may be lucky enough to try one. More pawpaw posts to come.
Shout out to my dad for repurposing old onion bags as shade for my precious pawpaw trees that enjoy a little shade when they are young and tender.
